The orchards of Giannis Christakakos are located in the fertile area of the Laconian Gulf, near the estuaries of the Eurotas river. Due to the suitable climate and the availability of water this region provides excellent conditions for the cultivation of citrus fruits.

In the early fifties Giannis' grandfather established the orchards by planting the first orange trees. Later on Kyriakos Christakakos, Giannis' father, expanded the estate to the present size and started to extend the cultivation to different varieties of citrus fruits. He also motivated other residents to get involved in the cultivation of citrus fruits.

Since the eighties Gianni Christakakos has managed the orchards. These days we grow the orange tree varieties Valencia, Merlina and Naveline as well as mandarin tree varieties Nova and Clementine. Moreover, recently we started the cultivation and processing of olives. In 2010 we opened the citrus packing house (321 m2) that processes oranges, mandarins, lemons as well as grapefruits.
